Fresh for the holiday season we welcome our Pre-Prohibition style Porter, Machine Gun Blues! A dark malty smoke flavor quickly gives way to the light sweetness of caramel and cherries. This light mouth feel on such a dark appearance deceives the eye, but your tongue will fall in love. If you've got the blues this season then you are probably a happy dude.
A crisp red ale with notes of fig, raisin, and caramel balanced by a light hoppy bitterness.
Our newest incarnation of an old favorite has returned! Celebrate the triumphant return of our Cream Ale by drinking one. This light, effervescent, straw colored beer is one of our original 3 brews... and now it's back! So join us, we've got Rocksteadys to please all palates.
Light, tart, bready and amazingly San Franciscan, a native San Francisco sourdough bread strain gives this beer some Z-I-N-G, (its Lactobacillus Sanfranciscensis for those keeping score at home).
Yerba Buena is both a native Mint AND the original name of San Francisco. Bare Bottle infused the native mint into a big chocolatey Porter for an awesome blend of winter-time goodness reminiscent of the famous Thin Mint cookies from the Girl Scouts of America.
Pour a hazy orange with a thick white head and a sticky mandarin-tropical aroma with a rich malt base a hop drenched mouth feel tastes of fruit and bitterness that will not linger.
Brewed with 25% puffed jasmine rice
A rich roasty brew with a deep "espresso" character. Originally brewed for the Imperial Court in Russia, this stout is a warm festive drink made with the cold Russian Winters in mind. This complex stout is brewed with a combination of nine domestic and imported malts.
The hops they use give this beer its characteristic floral and citrus notes in the smell and taste, but they also kept a slightly higher percentage of caramel malts in the recipe to balance out the 70+ IBU of bitterness. Their IPA follows a traditional West Coast IPA recipe and despite the stronger malt backbone you’ll find the flavors to be very hop forward with floral and citrus aromas that jump out of the glass.
The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who can't get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.
"This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter."
The flavor: cold. The crushability: maximum. Ice is their very first pils, and it brings the noise. Hopped with Czech Saaz and Australian Summer hops, before, like, so many weeks of lagering, Ice packs the flavor of the mighty San Diego mountains into a compact 5.2% ABV package.
Lomaland is an earthy, rustic Belgian-style farmhouse ale that's both complex and quaffable. It smells like hay, pepper, and friendly sunshine. Its dry, cracker-like body and lightly-hoppy finish makes it a beautiful compliment to food.
The result of Modern Times ongoing international quest for the choicest of hops, this wondrous IPA sports a South African hop bill bursting with lush tropical radness and a rich, juicy mouthfeel that stimulates the palate and satisfies the soul. It's a globe-spanning smackdown of flavors, and we're pretty psyched to put some in your grill-piece. Hopped with Southern Passion, African Queen, and Experimental Hop XJA2436
Oatmeal Coffee Porter with Mast Coffee Brazilian Roast, and Vanilla Beans.
You'd better watch out, you'd better not cry, you better not pout and here's telling you why—Bad Santa has arrived. Brewed for a limited time each holiday season, this mysterious dark nectar is filled with complex flavors and aromas. Toasted malt and roast character blends seamlessly with the alluring herbal hop aroma that comes from copious amounts of Fuggle hops. Bad Santa doesn't care if you’ve been naughty or nice as long as this beer is on your list.
This is a special version of their barrel-aged Bigfoot Barleywine with fresh ginger added into the barrels. The resulting kick of ginger mellows Bigfoot’s ferocious hop bite and adds a new level of brightness and complexity. This beer features notes of burnt sugar, orange zest, vanilla, and candied ginger.
